Snowmen and Penguins!

This is it, this is the end of the winter projects for 3rd and 1st grade.
I'm ready to melt the snow and warm this place up!

Here are simple tissue paper snowmen made by 1st grade.

Below are penguins made by 3rd grade.

Leaves, leaves, and more leaves!

Our stamped leaf trees were created by kindergarteners.

Here are a couple of chalk pastel leaf projects from my fourth graders.

These glitter leaves projects were created by 3rd graders.  They took forever to make, but I love how they turned out.

Fifth graders made these outlined leaves.

Dotted Flowers

My 3rd graders made these dotted flower paintings.  I told them if they did their best I'd frame them for the art show.  The room was so quiet as they focused on making their projects look amazing!

Trees, trees, and more trees...

My first year of teaching I made the mistake of creating a "Santa" themed project.  I had one kindergartener that shouted out "He aint weel!"  I was shocked and responded right back, "He is too weel."  After this project was over I promised myself, no matter how awesome the project, I will never do a "Santa" themed project again.  Instead I try to have each grade do some sort of a Christmas tree.

4th graders completed this patterned tree.

3rd graders completed this Christmas music project.

5th grade complete this Picasso inspired tree.

Picasso Inspired Sun/Moon

For this Picasso inspired project my 3rd graders used colored pencils, permanent markers, and watercolor paints.

3rd Grade Autumn Trees

This project was a happy accident... I did a project similar to this a couple of years ago and liked it so much I thought I'd try it again.  But, being at a new school, I'm forgetting that I don't have all of the same supplies I had at my old school.  I didn't realize that I didn't have leaf stamps like I used on the last project.  So instead we drew, colored, and cut them out.  It took much longer, but I loved the results even more than the last time I did this project!
Happy Fall!
